Jessa Duggar Seewald and husband Ben Seewald finally announced what the name of their newborn baby boy will be.
In a video they released via a TLC Digital Exclusive last Monday, the couple said that they will be naming their new son "Henry Wilberforce." Ben explained that the name came from Henry Wilberforce, a British politician and philanthropist from the 1700s who played a major role in ending the slave trade in the British Empire.
Moreover, the couple also said that they consider Wilberforce a personal hero, whose walk with God "fueled what he did," said Ben. In addition, they also picked "Henry" after another one of their inspirations. "We just thought it was cute, but also there was another great man of God named Matthew Henry who lived before Wilberforce and he wrote a lot of great commentaries," he added.
Jessa, the star of reality hit show "19 Kids and Counting," gave birth last Feb. 6, which the couple announced exclusively to PEOPLE on the same day. "He was born at 4:26 a.m. this morning, weighing 8 lbs. and 11 oz., and measuring 21 3/4 in. long," the couple said in the video. Moreover, they also said that mom and baby were both doing well and that they were thankful for the new blessing and latest addition to their growing family.
In 2016, Ben and Jessa, who both appeared on the reality television show "Counting On," became proud parents to their first child, Spurgeon, who is now 15 months old.
In an interview with Us Magazine last August, the couple confirmed Jessa's pregnancy of their second child and that she is due for birth in February. "2017 is shaping up to be a wonderful year already and we know Spurgeon will do a great job in his new role. Having Spurgeon has been such a wonderful blessing and we cannot wait to see the face of this sweet new baby (or babies!)," said the couple.
It was also reported by Us Magazine last year that the couple was keen on the idea of adopting, saying that they have friends who have taken that path, which made them see the power of adoption.
