Despite saying that getting into a relationship is not on her mind just a few months ago, Christina El Moussa has reportedly broken up with her boyfriend even before the news broke out that they were an official item.
According to a report from ET Online, a source said that the "Flip or Flop" co-host's relationship with Nate Thompson, a hockey player from the Anaheim Ducks, had ended. "Nothing dramatic happened -- it was super casual from the start, and they were never an official couple to begin with," the source said of the short-lived romance between the two. "Bad timing on both their ends never really let it evolve into something serious. They remain friends and there are no bad feelings between them at all," the source added.
Moreover, one of Christina's representatives also confirmed to ET earlier this week that the two were "just friends" and that 32-year-old Thompson was now back with his ex-girlfriend, Sydney Kaplan.
Meanwhile, Fox News reported that the two seemed to have no bad blood after the breakup. The 33-year-old El Moussa even posted a picture of her with a friend on her Instagram account, as the two were enjoying a Ducks game last week.
Earlier this month, Christina, as well as her ex-husband and co-host Tarek El Moussa, were reportedly pitching to have their own respective TV shows. A source shared that Christina was "hell bent on breaking out on her own," a claim that was likely backed up by the host's posting of her photo in a bikini, and showing off her summer-ready body.
Tarek, on the other hand, also posted a photo of him flexing his muscles and showing off his toned physique, something that he was very proud of after winning his battle against two forms of cancer just a few years ago.
The source said, however, that Christina's chances of landing her own show on HGTV are bleak after she reportedly talked to other TV producers regarding the matter. Tarek, meanwhile, was said to have a "big ego," which had kept potential parties away from partnering with him, the source added.
