It has been three years since Rockstar Games released "Grand Theft Auto 5," so it is not surprising that there has been a lot of interest in news and updates regarding the much awaited "Grand Theft Auto 6." Because there's barely any information about "Grand Theft Auto 6," a lot of speculations have sprouted in its place.
One of the first questions about "Grand Theft Auto 6" is the release date. Not counting the two-year gap between the first game and the second, Rockstar has taken at least five years before they launch another installment in the "Grand Theft Auto" franchise. From this, it may be speculated that the earliest fans could expect "Grand Theft Auto 6" to come out is in 2018 ("Grand Theft Auto 5" was released in 2013).
For those worried that Rockstar might possibly be cancelling the franchise altogether, the good news is that as early as March of this year, there have been unconfirmed reports claiming that Rockstar is currently working on "Grand Theft Auto 6."
Although nothing official has been announced, it wasn't long before speculations on what could be expected from "Grand Theft Auto 6" started to emerge.
It has only been days since Sony released the PlayStation VR, but there are already publications claiming that Rockstar will be looking into launching the upcoming "Grand Theft Auto 6" with a VR feature. Although there's no guarantee that "Grand Theft Auto 6" will have VR capability by 2018, which is the year that the game is expected to be released, VR would already be in the market for two years by then. It would be disappointing for fans to see a newly released game not supporting new technology.
As of report writing, there's still no official announcement from the developer that they are working on "Grand Theft Auto 6."
