A lot of fans were quite thrilled when the rumors about "Marvel vs. Capcom 4" started spreading on the internet a few months back. It seems like there is a slight chance that the rumors could come true, unless they are debunked by Capcom or Marvel.
According to Game Rant, "Marvel vs. Capcom's" developer and producer — Ryota Niitsuma — previously debunked the rumors about "Marvel vs. Capcom 4" on his Twitter account. He claimed that the company has no plans to push a fourth installment for the popular crossover fighting game franchise.
However, Ryota went on to say that he would love to see another title, igniting the spark of hopes within the hearts of eager fans of the fighting game franchise.
This may sound like bad news for some fans of the games, but new reports have recently emerged which claim that alleged image teasers for "Marvel vs. Capcom 4" have just been spotted circulating online, according to Comicbook.com. The images are quite cryptic, and they show a number four in one of the pictures along with the PlayStation 4 brand on the lower right corner with a 2017 launch date indicated on the bottom of the image.
In the other picture, text saying "Celebrating Almost 20 Years of Marvel vs. Capcom" is seen, accompanied by background stills of the characters from the fighting game as well as the number four logo in the lower left corner.
The same goes for the last remaining photo that includes brief stills of the characters. However, the last image briefly features the playable characters in "Ultimate Marvel vs. Capcom 3," specifically Iron Fist, Doctor Strange, and Nemesis, the main antagonist of "Resident Evil 3."
It is important to take note that neither Capcom nor Marvel has come forward to give any official statement regarding these recent alleged image leaks for "Marvel vs. Capcom 4." With that in mind, it is highly advisable that fans take these rumors with a tiny pinch of salt and wait until Capcom or Marvel releases official updates about the rumored game.
