The latest rumor about the launch timeframe for the next Meizu phone/tablet hybrid (or phablet) flagship — dubbed the Meizu M5 Note — has turned out to be accurate after all.
According to the report from Gizmo China, the Chinese mobile manufacturer has confirmed that the Meizu M5 Note is now scheduled to see the light of day on Tuesday, Dec. 6.
Many fans have predicted that the tablet would come out to the market sometime this month but sadly, the speculation did not pan out. A new report soon popped up on the internet, suggesting that the Meizu M5 Note is scheduled for a December launch – probably alongside other products – reported GSM Arena last weekend.
Meizu confirmed the launch date and also showed eager fans a brief glimpse of what they can expect for the design of the M5 Note flagship, both the front and rear of the upcoming device.
In terms of specifications, though, reports say that the Meizu M5 Note has passed through the popular benchmarking website Geekbench sporting a MediaTek MT6755M Helio P10 System on Chip (SoC) under its hood. It was also revealed there that the handset's processor is going to be supported by 3 GB of RAM, which is 1 GB more than the M5 flagship.
Meanwhile, the AnTuTu benchmark result has showed that the phablet will come equipped with 32 GB of built-in storage capacity and that it will run using Android's past operating system build — the Android 6.0 Marshmallow — probably right out of the box.
The Meizu M5 Note is also going to sport a screen capable of producing Full HD of display graphics. And lastly, the phablet will come equipped with a 13 megapixel camera for its main (back) and 5MP for its front-facing snapper.
Meizu has yet to confirm any of these specifications for the M5 Note. With that in mind, it would be best for fans to just wait for the official unveiling on Dec. 6.
