Since the first two seasons of "Narcos" were not released until the latter part of the year, it is not surprising if fans will still have to wait a while before Netflix releases the third season. The good news is that there have been a few morsels and tidbits of updates about the third season that has been announced for fans.
Miguel Angel Silvestre from "Sense8" and "Velvet" has joined the crime web series, as per a HOLA! España report, which was translated by E! News. The name of the character that Silvestre will be portraying has not been revealed yet, but it has been reported that he will be playing someone who was given the responsibility of laundering the money of the Cali Cartel.
In an interview with another Spanish publication, ABC, Silvestre gave a little more detail about his character, claiming that he will be portraying someone who is very mysterious. The actor also revealed that the character has experienced some heartache that has left him bitter and filled with hate.
The production of "Narcos" season 3 is in full swing, so the actor has been in and out of Bogota, Columbia to film his scenes in the series.
Silvestre also confirmed his addition to the cast of "Narcos" with a short video of himself walking around as he bowed his head to reveal the cap that he was wearing. The plain blue cap had only one word written on it, "Narcos." The clip was captioned with "filming #narcos season 3 Buenos días ... @netflix"
Other newcomers in "Narcos" season 3 are Michael Stahl-David and Matt Whelan, who have been confirmed to play Chris Feistl and Daniel Van Ness, respectively. The two characters added to the series are new DEA agents who asked to be assigned in Colombia.
