As leading smartphone manufacturers like Samsung are expected to announce their next flagship devices over the next month or so, Xiaomi is looking to join the party as well.
Ahead of the expected launching of the Mi 7, a leaked screenshot apparently revealed some of the device's key details. The screenshot, posted in a report by PlayfulDroid, showed the Xiaomi Mi 7 sporting a 5.65-inch display with 2160 x 1080 pixels Full HD+ resolution.
Moreover, the device will also likely run on the Snapdragon 845 chipset from Qualcomm, will showcase the MIUI 188.8.131.52 software, and will come with 8 GB of RAM. The surprising detail, however, is the 4,480 mAh battery that will power the device, which is a huge jump from the Mi 6's 3,350 mAh battery, a TechRadar report noted. Furthermore, the leak revealed that the Mi 7 will feature a dual 16-megapixel camera setup.
Observers are expecting more details to surface in the coming weeks, leading to the device's launch. Meanwhile, Xiaomi launched last week the Express Delivery Service in India. BGR India reported that the service covers smartphone orders that are placed on the Mi.com/in website and the Mi Store App, with all deliveries completed in a single day without any additional charges. The service, however, is currently available to select pin codes in Bengaluru, as of now.
According to the official page for the Express Delivery Service, consumers who wish to enjoy the free delivery must head on to the Mi.com website's "Order Information" page then select the "Express Delivery" option. For Mi Store App users, they should tap the "Delivery Service" option after checking out, and if they are eligible, an "Express Delivery Service" option will appear, which they should pick via the "Confirm" button.
All deliveries can only be placed between 9 a.m. and 4:30 p.m, from Monday to Saturday. In addition, the service can only be used on a single item at a time, and the Cash on Delivery option will not be available with the service.
