NVIDIA's upcoming powerful graphics card, the GeForce GTX 1080 Ti, is rumored to be preparing for its appearance at the 2017 Consumer Electronics Show (CES) next year. The new graphics processing unit (GPU) is expected to surpass the limitations of the previously launched Titan X.

The upcoming GPU from NVIDIA is rumored to make the Titan X obsolete since the GeForce GTX 1080 TI is expected to sport a higher performance and storage capacity compared to its predecessor. Overall, the GTX 1080 Ti is speculated to be cheaper than the Titan X, which makes it a great buy.

The GeForce GTX 1080 Ti is speculated to have at least the same firepower as its predecessor which includes about 12 billion transistors, a die size of 471 square millimeters, a 128 GB GDDR5X memory, and a 16-nanometer process. Furthermore, the device is expected to have an operating speed of about 10 Gbps, a 384-bit memory interface, and an astounding 480 GB/s bandwidth storage capacity.

Ultimately, the two graphic cards from NVIDIA will differ not only on their prices, but also on the presence of reduced CUDA Cores in the GeForce GTX 1080 Ti. The upcoming GPU is rumored to have a CUDA core of 3328, a base clock speed of 1.5 Ghz and a boost clock with a speed of 1.6 Ghz.

With the specs of the 1080Ti, it is definitely expected to have a solid performance and a cheaper price than its predecessor, the Titan X, mainly due to its upgraded Pascal graphics chip architecture with 16-nanometer FinFET process coupled with an enhanced memory.

The latest addition to NVIDIA's high-end graphics card is speculated to be made for the PC gaming community. It caters to the huge community of gamers who are willing to trade their GPU for a cheaper and better performing device. The graphics card is expected to be able to maximize high performance modes for laptops and desktops.
