Excitement continues to build up as fans of Japanese anime hit series "One-Punch Man" speculate on plot twists and potential opponents for the much-loved protagonist.
Comicbook.com recently posted a video showing before and after artworks of Saitama, the dominant superhero in the series, courtesy of the manga's illustrator, Yusuke Murata. The short video showcased Saitama sporting a new look, particularly a donning somewhat more expressive face. The shape of his head also changed as it was rounder compared to his head shape in the first season.
Furthermore, Mobile & Apps reported of speculations suggesting that the bald hero will attend a martial arts tournament while concealing his identity by wearing a wig. Eventually, the trip to the tournament will lead him to a face-off with Garou, a villain that is much stronger that what Saitama had faced before. Based on the anime's manga counterpart, Saitama will meet Garou prior to their encounter in the tournament, while the former looks for a wig to wear.
A report by iTech Post gave more details on Garou, saying that the new antagonist will be the strongest Saitama has ever faced, thus far. A former student of Fang-An, Garou is expected to unleash the "Water Stream Rock Smashing Fist," his signature move, on Saitama.
Additionally, fans were also speculating that Lord Boros will make a return. The season one villain was known for having self-healing abilities, which he could use to make a strong comeback in the upcoming season. Other spoilers listed in the iTech Post article include Saitama falling in love with either Fubuki or Tatsumaki while finding himself caught in a love triangle with the two sisters.
Starting as a webcomic back in 2009, "One-Punch Man" enjoyed much success, with the title having 108 chapters as of July of 2016. In 2012, the manga received a redraw for digital publishing under Murata. The anime, produced by Madhouse and first aired in Japan in October 2015, will have a second season. However, its premiere date is still undisclosed.
