A new listing of what appears to be a PlayStation 2-on-PlayStation 4 game, "Red Dead Revolver," has recently been spotted on Sony's Australian online store for the PlayStation console. Because of this discovery, many gamers now believe that the popular PS2 title is probably coming to the current-generation console, and it could be released on the port sometime soon.
The Australian "Red Dead Revolver" Sony listing was first spotted by gaming online tipster on Twitter, Wario64.
The listing, which has been removed on the Sony store, shows that the title might only come out in the Australian region. Unfortunately, there is no way to confirm whether or not the game will come to other markets, since the listing has been taken down.
Furthermore, Sony has yet to release any official statement on the matter. Some fans, however, believe that the posting of "Red Dead Revolver" on the Sony PlayStation store was only an error.
Fans who have been very excited for this game should take in mind that this is just a PS2-on-PS4 release. According to GameSpot, players should not expect to see any significant improvements on the graphics side or even any additional contents, since this isn't a remaster of "Red Dead Revolver" or any other version.
This could still be considered as wonderful news, nonetheless, most especially for fans who are dying to hear more updates about the long rumored installment, "Red Dead Redemption 2."
Rockstar Games' parent company, Take-Two Interactive, has hinted that the "Grand Theft Auto" developer is now preparing something new for the fans.
As stated on past reports, Rockstar is working hard on its upcoming gaming projects. Sadly, Take-Two did not go into the specifics on what these projects are or when they will officially come out — or at least be unveiled. With that in mind, it's best to just wait for further announcements from the companies regarding the matter.
