Even though a premiere date has not been announced, the excitement for the return of Adult Swim's hit animated TV series "Rick and Morty" for its season 3 just keeps on building up and new spoiler details give hints on what to expect when the show returns.

It was reported earlier that Rick will be found locked behind bars when the new season kicks off. This happens after the mad scientist decided to surrender to the Galactic Federation so that Morty, Summer, Beth, and the rest of the gang could go back to earth. Season 2 closed with a scene showing Rick being dragged to a maximum prison facility.

These events should not necessarily quell the eagerness of fans to once again see the duo back in each other's company. The spoiler report from Geek teased that Rick won't really have a long time spent in prison as he will reportedly get his freedom as soon as the new installment rolls out.

Series creator Dan Harmon himself spilled the beans on this very important detail at the show's panel during the San Diego Comic-Con 2016 back in July.  "He gets out of prison in the first episode," Harmon was quoted by Entertainment Weekly.

That huge hint gave rise to several speculations as to how Rick can make his escape or release from prison. Rumors are circulating that a prison break might happen, although there's no telling yet as to who can pull off the job.

As with season 3's release date, reports say that  it could happen sometime next year. Despite the long wait, fans still have the reasons to get hyped up because as what Harmon previously revealed, it will all be worth it.

Aside from the fact that it will be their "best season ye," as tweeted by writer Mike McMahan, season 3 will also be lengthier with four more episodes added to the usual 10 segments.

Watch out for more updates.
