Samsung has now released its latest cutting-edge laptop, which looks to be the best they can currently offer in terms of hardware and features. The brand-new Samsung Notebook 7 Spin hybrid laptop packs quite a punch with some critics claiming that it is in fact a worthy contender to Apple's MacBook Pro.
The laptop from the Korean manufacturing giant may not impress with how it looks as some reviews have deemed its design to be quite bland, but the main attraction of the computing device is what is actually on the inside. The new hybrid laptop sports Intel's sixth-generation Core i7 processor, the Intel Core i7 6500U running at 2.5 gigahertz, coupled with a more than sufficient 16 gigabytes (GB) of random access memory.
Allowing the laptop to take on any graphics intensive games currently available in the market is a built-in 2 GB NVIDIA GeForce 940MX video card. The storage space is also not a problem as the laptop contains a dual hard disk setup with a 128 GB solid state drive for fast boot and application launch, as well as a 1 terabyte hard disk drive. The combination of the processor and the capable graphics card has received very positive reviews with the majority considering the Notebook 7 Spin an excellent gaming laptop.
One of the downsides of the laptop, however, is that it still sports a 1920 x 1080 full HD screen. The HD screen is an ample resolution for the 15.6-inch laptop, but in today's world of Quad HD and 4K screens, the normal full HD screen might not be sufficient in wowing the more selective users. One of the most likely reasons for the lower resolution screen is to save on battery life as Quad HD and 4K screens do eat up a lot of power over time.
The new laptop is priced slightly above $1,000 and is poised to go after would-be MacBook Pro buyers. However, it still remains to be seen if this would be a successful endeavor as Apple is also set to launch its updated MacBook Pro laptops sometime in October or November.
