Netflix hit series "Stranger Things" will return for a second season later this year, and things will start to look a little bit different.
Entertainment Weekly posted a picture on their Twitter account, showing the five kid stars of the show gracing the cover of their magazine's latest issue. Striking a pose on the cover are Mike (Finn Wolfhard), Dustin (Gaten Matarazzo), Lucas (Caleb McLaughlin), Will (Noah Schnapp), and Eleven (Millie Bobby Brown), who caught the attention of many for the new hairstyle she is sporting.
Brown, the child actress who played the role of an enigmatic young girl with psychokinetic powers, will likely return with curly hair in season two, compared to having shaved hair in the pilot season.
The picture also came with the caption: "Hold on to your Eggos! Your exclusive first look at #StrangerThings season 2 is officially here," followed by a link to a short video of the kids promoting the brand new season.
In a separate interview with Entertainment Weekly, Brown shared her amazement at how the sci-fi series have captured hearts of people and created huge followings from across the globe. "I went to Manila last year; there were people camping outside the hotel, crying, and literally hyperventilating. I was like, 'Why do you like me so much? I'm just boring old Millie," shared the young actress.
Executive producer Shawn Levy, on the other hand, said that the challenge of "quieting the cultural noise" surrounding their show is something they will have to deal with in season two.
Meanwhile, Independent reported that a short trailer of season two was revealed during the recently concluded Super Bowl. Moreover, they also shared a 30-second video of the kids getting excited after seeing the new trailer. Ross Duffer, one of the show's creators, said that they are trying to strike a balance in giving fans the comfort they have been familiar with, while things to new directions.
"Stranger Things" is set to return on Halloween (October 31).
