"Tekken" fans have been very patient with the release of the upcoming "Tekken 7: Fated Retribution" game, which, until now, does not have a specific release date except that it will come out in 2017.
The good news about the upcoming game is that Bandai Namco Entertainment and game director Katsuhiro Harada has been very forthcoming with updates and information about "Tekken 7: Fated Retribution."
Harada has previously announced that "Tekken 7: Fated Retribution" will have a huge character roster upon release, with the director keeping mum on possible DLC releases for the game. In an interview a few months ago with Game Reactor, it seems like Harada may now be changing his mind with regards to "Tekken 7: Fated Retribution" getting an expansion after release with a paid DLC.
In the interview, Harada revealed that his personal belief is that fighting games are like packages that are delivered by the developers, with the consumers being left with the decision on how long they'll play and replay the game. If the developer wants to change something in the game, they will create another package.
However, he did reveal that things have been changing with a lot of players admitting that it is alright for them to shell out more money to get more updates and content way after the game was released. The director did not confirm that "Tekken 7: Fated Retribution" will have DLCs released, but he did state that he's now being more open to the idea.
In other "Tekken 7: Fated Retribution" news, it is a sad day for Eliza fans as it seems like Harada has confirmed that the beloved character will not be part of the long roster list that has been promised in the game.
After a fan asked the director to deny the reports that have been popping up which are suggesting that Eliza will not be part of the roster. Harada cryptically replied, saying, "Everything has an end," which sparked rumors that Eliza might not be included in "Tekken 7: Fated Retribution's" character list.
There is still no announced release date for "Tekken 7: Fated Retribution."
