Many fans are now looking forward to the next episode of the popular post-apocalyptic, zombie survival AMC drama, "The Walking Dead" season 7. This is all mainly due to the hints that past reports have revealed regarding the sixth episode, titled "Swear."
According to the episode's brief description, someone – possibly someone from Rick's (Andrew Lincoln) group – will stumble upon a new group of survivors, or as what the description specifically said, "a brand new society," ScreenCrush reported.
Because of this, a lot of viewers have speculated that The Whisperers are probably going to be introduced in "The Walking Dead" season 7, mainly because of the teaser image that AMC posted on its Instagram account before the season premiere. The photo in question is a severed head – it's unclear if the head is from a living person or a walker.
Unfortunately, the production team is still trying to keep the "new society" under wraps that even showrunner Scott Gimple hasn't revealed any significant clues during his talk with Comicbook.com.
"If we've gotten this far without saying anything about them, I'd like the audience to discover this group when it's on screen," said Gimple when asked whether the new society is made up of The Whisperers.
"I will say... I mean, it's not the Whisperers. I will also say, though, that it's not impossible that the Whisperers could come along or aspects of them could come along earlier than the timeline of the book, but certainly not this early," he added.
It would make sense if this new society turns out to be The Whisperers, considering that all of the major societies from the comics have already been introduced – aside from Rick's group. They are: The Sanctuary, the Hilltop Colony, The Kingdom, and Negan's (Jeffrey Dean Morgan) Saviors.
However, it is important to take note that this is just based on pure speculations. Fans are advised to be patient until it is proven otherwise.
