The action-packed "Call of Duty" video game series has been up and running ever since 2003, and the series continues to churn out new content for their loyal fanbase. The newest addition to the game franchise, "Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare," is due for release soon. However, the game developers still did not abandon the well-known "Call of Duty: Black Ops 3." The latest updates from the developers include a mod creation tool that will provide players an endless avenue to showcase their creativity and imagination.

As stated on the game's Steam Community page, update 15.1 and the Mod Tools Open Beta are now available for players to download and make use of. The recent update was driven by the interest of the gaming community to create their own custom maps, weapons, equipment, characters and many more.

The Mod Tools can be installed by players through their Steam Library's tool section easily. The hefty update includes a Steam Workshop for Black Ops 3, an exclusive unranked server browser, a radiant level editor, and an asset property editor (APE), which is necessary to make custom designs.

Furthermore, level building assets are also included in the update pack which will enable the players to create their own versions of fan-favorite maps like Combine, Zombies, and The Giant. A mod menu wherein players can save and load their subscribed mods is also provided.

Besides the Mod Tools update, the latest update 15.1 also features recent bug fixes and another security update. Additionally, a workshop guide in creating and playing with mods was also posted by the developers.

It can be noted that the famed first-person shooter video game has just showcased a new multiplayer mode coupled with a better rendering system for smoother gameplay in their previous update.
