'Dragon Ball Super' episodes 62 and 63 spoilers, plot updates: Goku learns new technique; Future Trunks versus Black and Zamasu happening?

(Toei Japan Animation)Black pierces Zamasu and Son Goku in "Dragon Ball Super" episode 61

The latest episode of the popular Japanese anime series, "Dragon Ball Super" episode 62, is without a doubt unsurprising. The duo antagonists, Goku Black and Zamasu, were still quite well in the alternate timeline while the three heroes, Future Trunks, Son Goku, and Vegeta, were once again defeated.

According to recap reports for "Dragon Ball Super" episode 62, Goku has been beaten once again and Future Trunks suggested to Vegeta to bring everyone back to the past. However, because of their current predicament, he offered to stay and tried to hold off the two notorious villains while the rest of the gang tried to escape back to the past by using the time machine.

After arriving in the current timeline and once Goku recovered from the fierce battle, Piccolo suggested a possible way to defeat Black and Zamasu. This technique is called the Mafuba or also known as the Demon Containment Wave.

Interestingly enough, it seems like the previous leaks about the upcoming episodes for "Dragon Ball Super" were in fact accurate. As suggested by previous reports, Piccolo might just have a way on how to defeat the villains of the alternate timeline.

As for "Dragon Ball Super" episode 63, though, it appears like the duo, Goku and Vegeta, will come back to the alternate timeline to fight Zamasu and Black, based on the posted preview videos for the next episode.

Goku will try to take on Zamasu again while Vegeta will show off the power he gained from his training in the Room of Spirit and Time against Black.

As for the effectiveness of Mafuba to Zamasu, however, rumors have it that Goku will be unsuccessful with the technique. It should be noted that this is just a fan theory and it is in no way official. Furthermore, it was not hinted at the "Dragon Ball Super" episode 63 preview.

With that in mind, it's best to take this one with a pinch of salt and consider it as a mere rumor until proven otherwise.

"Dragon Ball Super" episode 63 is set to air on Sunday, Oct. 23, at 9 a.m. on Fuji TV.
