Another character for "Injustice 2" is set to be revealed on Tuesday, as the game's website posted a teaser image of a silhouette with the date "2.7.17."
A report by gaming website DualShockers speculated the revelation of the new character will be in the form of a gameplay trailer, which they noted had always been the case in the past character reveals. The website posted an updated character listing Robin, along with villains Bane, Brainiac, and Poison Ivy, who also appeared in the story trailer.
To date, the other characters that the fighting game will feature include Blue Beetle, Harley Quinn, Superman, Supergirl, The Flash, Gorilla Grodd, Aquaman, Atroticus, and Black Canary, who was announced last week.
Furthermore, in a Twitch live stream last month, as reported by Gamespot, Ed Boon of NetherRealm Studios also confirmed that obscure characters will be showcased in the sequel, compared to the ones fans enjoyed using in "Injustice: Gods Among Us," which are well-known DC characters.
He also teased the fans, saying that there's a big possibility of releasing third-party characters as part of the DLC for the game.
In addition, Boon also took to Twitter last week and confirmed that the third wave of codes was set for release over the weekend. "We really wish we could give everyone a code for the Injustice 2 Beta, but it is a limited Beta & we need to continue to test/monitor," he tweeted, in response to fan inquiries as to why they didn't go for an open beta. "However ... all is not lost ... I managed to get a handful of codes (PS4 & X1) that I'll give out this weekend," he added.
The game, which is scheduled for release on May 16 on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One, will have the biggest roster ever for a NetherRealm title, covering both on-disc and DLC characters, Boon confirmed.
