Trade rumors are now steadily increasing as the Eastern Conference Southeast Division member, the Miami Heat, is apparently rebuilding its lineup to truly be a viable East contender once again. With the departure of Dwyane Wade from the team, the franchise needs to come up with a good strategy to strengthen its lineup of players for the new season.
According to the latest trade reports, the team is most likely looking at the Los Angeles Clippers superstar, Chris Paul, to be part of its roster next year. After Wade's departure from the team, getting the all-star guard within their lineup would certainly make them a force to be reckoned with.
One way for them to achieve this is to trade off one of their own instead of making a deal with the superstar. Several reports have claimed that the team may be looking to trade their current point guard, Goran Dragic, for Chris Paul.
The likeliness of this happening has increased with prevalent rumors saying that Paul is actually looking to opt for an early end of his contract so that he would become a free agent once again next year. If ever he decides to go with this particular move, then the Miami Heat might take full advantage of the situation and acquire him via a trade.
The Los Angeles Clippers are also rumored to be willing to let go of Paul and hold on to Blake Griffin instead. Dragic himself has not been performing as expected ever since he joined the Miami Heat when they offered him a huge deal. The team failed to make it to the playoffs, with the majority of fans blaming Dragic's less than stellar performance. Paul is believed to be a more capable player and is hopefully the missing part of the puzzle that will help the team finally reach their goals.
