'One Punch Man' illustrator reveals new manga update

(Madhouse/ONE/TV Tokyo)The "One Punch Man" anime still has no definite air date while the manga version will likely come out with a new chapter this month.

Though the anime version of "One Punch Man" has yet to receive a definite return date, its manga counterpart, on the other hand, received a new teaser courtesy of its legendary illustrator.

According to a post on his Twitter account, "One Punch Man" manga artist Yusuke Murata gave fans an update regarding the next chapter. Murata confirmed that Chapter 89 will contain more than 100 pages, which is something that the artist is quite used to. Moreover, the Twitter post came with a picture showing a glimpse of some of the artwork for the upcoming chapter.

Interestingly, the veteran artist has been so used to churning up pages after pages that he is able to accomplish his monthly tasks and deadlines in a timely manner, Comicbook.com reported. Though Murata did not reveal anything regarding a specific release date, the Comicbook.com report noted that the artist confirmed that two chapters will be published. It is very likely that fans will get one chapter before the month of March comes to a close.

As for the anime series, fans are still waiting for an announcement concerning season 2's air date. What is certain, however, is that the upcoming season will no longer be handled by season 1's studio, Madhouse. Kotaku reported last year that J.C. Staff has replaced Madhouse as production and animation lead. Moreover, director Shinogo Natsume has also left the series as Chikira Sakurai takes over his role.

Meanwhile, Comicbook.com also noted that Chikashi Kubota, head of character design, will be returning for season 2. Tomohiro Suzuki, on the other hand, will take care of the series composition while Shoji Hata and Makoto Miyazaki will be handling the series' sound direction and music, respectively.

Fans who are wondering about the voices need not worry as they will also be returning next season. Makoto Furukawa will still be the voice of main protagonist Saitama while Kaito Ishikawa will still be the voice behind Genos.
