After releasing a number of teasers the past week on its upcoming smartphone in India, Oppo finally revealed the device's official launch date.

The Chinese phone manufacturer sent out invites on Tuesday for the official launching of the Oppo F7, slated for March 26, Gadgets360 reported. The invites also confirmed that the launching will take place in Mumbai. Moreover, the company also revealed in a Twitter post the three mystery cricket players who will serve as the new brand ambassadors.

"RT this tweet to spread the word guys! The mystery cricketers are none other than Hardik Pandya, Rohit Sharma and Ravichandran Ashwin! Who is your favourite? Witness the brand new #OPPOF7 coming to meet you on 26th March at the grand launch," posted Oppo Mobile India's official Twitter account.

Last week, Oppo India posted on Twitter a series of teasers with a "guess the cricketer" gimmick wherein followers would try to guess the identity of the athletes holding the device that is covering their faces. Furthermore, the tweet also confirmed that the device will come with the controversial notch similar to that of the iPhone X of Apple.

As for the Oppo F7's specs and features, TechRadar noted that the device will showcase thin bezels and a display cut-out design right at the top, similar to the Oppo R15. Moreover, it will likely sport a 6.28-inch (1080x2280p) with a 19:9 aspect ratio.

In addition, The Economic Times also said that the device's ultra-slim bezels will give its users an 89.09 percent screen-to-body ratio. In addition, the Oppo F7 will also come with a 25-megapixel front camera with improved Artificial Intelligence features compared to its predecessor, the Oppo F5.

Earlier this month, Oppo also unveiled the R15 and R15 Plus smartphones that have the controversial iPhone X-like notch. The R15 will be armed with a 16-megapixel rear camera, complete with a dual-tone LED Flash, a secondary 5-megapixel camera, and a 20-megapixel front-facing camera, among other features.
