Fans of the "Pokemon Trading Card Game" (TCG) will have something to look forward to in a few months' time.
According to a report from MyNintendoNews, The Pokemon Company announced this week that the "Pokemon Sun and Moon - Forbidden Light" expansion will be coming to the "Pokemon TCG." The expansion will be launched in the U.S., as well as the U.K. on May 4.
"Building on the story of Sun & Moon—Ultra Prism, this latest expansion showcases the mysterious power of Necrozma, who has absorbed a Legendary Pokémon and taken on a luminous new form as Ultra Necrozma-GX," read the expansion's official description. "Drawn to this new light, other Pokémon, including Lucario-GX, Greninja-GX, Zygarde-GX, Yveltal-GX, Volcanion Prism Star and Arceus Prism Star, must decide whether to welcome it or resist it," it added.
Interestingly, "Pokemon Sun and Moon - Forbidden Light" will bring to the table a wide range of features that include over 130 different cards. The cards contain five new Prism Star cards, eight Pokémon-GX, six Ultra Beasts, 15 Trainer cards, and two Special Energy cards. Moreover, every booster pack will include 10 cards coming from the expansion, which comes with at least one rare card and one basic Energy card, the PokemonBlog noted.
Meanwhile, IGN reported that players who wish to experience the expansion ahead of its release date may do so by joining the pre-release tournaments. The tournaments are slated from April 21 to 29. Trainers can check out the nearest tournament sites by visiting the game's Event Locator page.
