History Channel rolled out an action-packed trailer for the second half of its hit historical drama TV series, "Vikings" season 4 at the recently held San Diego Comic-Con. It features some of the exhilarating events that fans will get to find out when the show finally returns on air.

Check out the video below:

As teased in the clip, Ragnar's (Travis Fimmel) sons with Queen Aslaug (Alyssa Sutherland) have now grown to become warriors like their elder brother, Bjorn Ironside (Alexander Ludwig).

The first half of season 4 ended rather tragically for Ragnar, who failed in his mission to capture the impregnable Paris (for the second time around) and punish the disloyalty of his very own brother, Rollo, (Clive Standen). A standoff happened between the two mighty warriors, but Ragnar, whose old age, frustrations and guilt were already eating up his strength, could no longer keep up, and he lost.

The spotlight being shone on his sons could be a hint that the show will now be focusing on the exploits of Lothbrok men, most especially Ivar the Boneless (Alex Hogh Andersen).

Theories stipulate that the king of Kattegat will die before season 4B ends, and it will be one of his boys who will take over. Moreover, the conquest to take over the English Channel and the lands beyond will be carried by the new blood.

Historically speaking, the farmer turned conqueror died in the hands of his enemies, particularly by King Aelle of Northumbria (played in the show by Ivan Kaye). The latter threw the Norseman into a pit of snakes.

This leads to another speculation that the season or the installments thereafter will revolve around the revenge of Ragnar's sons on the Anglican people.

Another production update revealed that season 4B is now well under way and should be ready to sail on back to the History Channel by fall this year. Watch out for more updates.
