Rumors regarding the purported return of Danielle Cormack's beloved character, Bea, in the upcoming season 5 of "Wentworth" just keep on popping up, giving hope for those who wish to see the inmate survive her tragic fate last season.
Cormack recently took to social media to offer some updates for her fans. What is interesting is the fact that she did it with her "Wentworth" (former) co-star Kate Jenkinson, who takes on the role of Allie Novak, in the series.
The short clip, which can be seen below, features both Cormack and Jenkinson having fun in front of the camera while the latter curls the hair of the former.
Despite the lack of indication that this is about Cormack's rumored return to the series, speculations say that this could be a clear, tell-tale sign that the two are working back together as their respective characters.
While this issue has yet to be clarified, it has already been announced in previous reports that season 5 will definitely see the top dog's comeback.
Spoiler reports for the upcoming installment indicate that the brand new episodes will now be moving past Bea's tragic death from the hands of Pamela Rabe's Joan "The Freak" Ferguson.
Giving weight to this is the statement from executive producer Jo Porter who admitted that it was a hard decision for them to write off such a very important character, as reported by News AU.
"It is always an incredibly difficult decision to say farewell to a much-loved and revered character like Bea Smith," the showrunner said, adding, "Which is why this storyline has had such a huge impact on us all and we are sure fans will feel the same. This decision was particularly hard as it meant also saying goodbye to Danielle Cormack."
SoHo has yet to announce the premiere date of "Wentworth" season 5.
