Xiaomi to launch the Mi LED Smart TV 4C this week; product to come with Rs 27,999 price tag

Xiaomi continues to push its products in India and to dominate the market not only in terms of smartphones but also in other tech items.

According to a report from Gadgets360, the Chinese tech company is slated to launch the new Mi TV series led on Wednesday, March 7. Days ahead of the grand launching of the company's cheaper range of smart televisions, one of its models, specifically the Mi LED Smart TV 4C, was already listed on Xiaomi India's official website, the report added.

According to the listing, the 43-inch Mi TV 4C comes with an Rs. 27,999. The model is only one of Smart TVs that are expected to be launched by the company this week, with a smaller model from the Mi TV 4A series measuring 32-inches also deemed for launching.

Incidentally, the 43-inch Mi TV 4C was first launched way back in October of last year in China, and it came with a price of CNY 1,849 or about Rs. 19,000, the Gadgets360 report noted. Meanwhile, Firstpost reported that the Smart TV will showcase a Full HD panel, with 1GB of RAM and 8GB of storage. Interestingly, the TV will also feature super thin bezels, measuring 9mm.

Furthermore, the TV will also feature a quad-core Amlogic T962 64-bit chipset, capable of providing support for Bluetooth 4.2, Dolby, and Wi-Fi, among others. In addition, the Mi LED Smart TV 4C will also support HDR 10, but the Mi Bluetooth Remote Control will be sold separately.

Last week, Xiaomi opened its first Mi Home Experience Store in India. Located at the Phoenix Marketcity Mall in Chennai, the store is the 25th overall for the company in India, and is part of Xiaomi's goal of reaching a total of 100 stores within the year.

"Think of this as a flagship Mi Home, where we will show not just the products that we have already launched in India, but also the ones that we want to bring to the market," said Global Vice President, and Managing Director India, Manu Kumar Jain during the store's launching.
